HIV/AIDS CARE
HIV is no longer a death sentence, but it is essential to determine if you require proper care. The initial stage in addressing HIV and preventing its transmission is to ascertain whether you are already infected.
Think you might have contracted HIV?
Have you had sex without using a condom?
If you don't use a condom correctly, every time, you may be at risk and should get an HIV test.
Have you shared drug injection equipment with anyone? (Needles, syringes, cotton, cooker, water).
HIV lives in the blood. Sharing puts you at high risk.
Does your partner have sex or share needles with anyone else?
What you don't know can hurt you. Ask.
Have you had any other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) or have any symptoms you are worried about?

You get HIV in the same way as other STDs. Other symptoms to watch out for:
> Persistent or recurrent fever
> Profuse night sweats
> Rapid weight loss
> Chronic diarrhea
> Recurring infections, such as pneumonia or thrush (oral fungal infection)
> Fatigue and weakness
> Swollen lymph nodes for an extended period
The HIV/AIDS Care Clinics offer complimentary and confidential HIV counseling and testing services. Trained counselors will assist you in assessing your risk of contracting or transmitting HIV and can administer a straightforward oral test. If necessary, they will provide referrals for medical care at their clinics. Additionally, they can guide you on approaching a friend who may be at risk of HIV/AIDS. The counselors are committed to ensuring your safety and well-being.
